    Welcome to Latino Bites Store

     

    Memory Bites are “Recuerdos” which are being documented to sustain our Latino culture for the future generations. The following are the memories our customers treasure and want to share to encourage other Latinas to keep the family traditions alive and encourage others to do the same. 



    Sophia (Business Owner)


     Her memories growing up were being with her family which include her grandparents. Sharing meals together where where they enjoyed vegetable soup and Lemonade Agua Fresca. Her belief is that we need to reconnect with our family memories and make new ones with our own family. 

    The following are some of her fondest memories:

    1. Her pet turtle. She remembers chasing it.
    2. Sitting with her Mama after coming from school to let her know how her day was.
    3. Having pan dulce in the house.

    What she likes about our culture is that we are encourage to give back to the community. As a result, we are all about unity,



    Maribel (Real Estate Agent) - She remembers playing in her neighborhood with her cousins. It was a tight knit family where they spend a lot of time together.

    Her fondest memories:

    1. Going to the Oakland A’s games with her family.
    2. Seeing a lot of movies since her parents worked at a video rental store.
    3. Going to the Flea Market with her entrepreneur Abuelita to sell birds.

    Maribel feels we must continue to keep fighting no matter what the circumstances may be. She also feels that it is important to stay true to your roots.

    Maribel is proud of the values that have been taught to her growing. She feels that it is important to now teach these values to her children. 



    Olivia ( recruiter) She remembers growing up living the city life in San Francisco as a pre-teen and teenager.

    Her fondest memories:

    1. Becoming the first alter girl at her catholic school.
    2. Going to a famous ice cream parlor for ice cream and soda.
    3. Watching novels with her aunt.
